2018 - One of Australia’s finest country bands, Lachlan Bryan and the Wildes have been bridging the gap between country and alt-country/Americana music for the past eight years. Built around the storytelling songs of front-man Lachlan Bryan, the sensitive playing of members Shaun Ryan and Damian Cafarella and an assortment of regular ‘special guests’, the band has developed a sound that is at once accomplished and rough around the edges. More alternative than mainstream with a nod in song and style to the likes of Waylon Jennings, Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson, this is a country album that I’m sure girls and guys will (quite) like.
