2023 -  incl. an informative booklet, telling the story of the duo along with label scans and other visuals. 36 tracks by the brothers Kershaw - Rusty & Doug, incl. all five of their country hits between 1955 and 1961. Contains their complete output for Hickory Records in Nashville, along with the dates of the individual recording sessions and includes recordings with Wiley Barkdull and Carolee. Country, rock-a-billy and Cajun music all wrapped up in the duo's music, reflecting their upbringing and the diversity of the country music scene in the fifties. Includes 'Louisiana Man', Doug Kershaw's classic song that made the country Top 10 and has been recorded by artists as diverse as The Hollies, The Seekers, Gene Pitney and Connie Smith.

Their mentor and friend, Tejano accordion great Flaco Jiménez, makes a special appearance.

He sought to form a group that espoused the traditions of Tejano music he grew up with and combined them with elements of blues, rock, country and jazz. Smithsonian Folkways Recordings is proud to release 'Cruzando Borders' from the GRAMMY Award-winning conjunto group Los Texmaniacs, including dynamic feature performances from fellow GRAMMY winners Lyle Lovett, Rick Fuentes and Rick Treviño.

This album is part of the Smithsonian Folkways Tradiciones/Traditions Series of Latino music albums, produced with support by the Smithsonian Latino Center. San Antonio, Laredo, El Paso, Corpus Christi, Seguín, and other Texas towns inspired this second Smithsonian Folkways recording of “hardcore conjunto” music by the spunky and spirited GRAMMY-winning group Los Texmaniacs. Their signature sound comes from deep within the heart of Texan tradition, while Max Baca’s bajo sexto and David Farías’s accordion playfully break new creative ground. Multi-instrumentalists Óscar García and Lorenzo Martínez complete the quartet, with guest cameos by Western Swing singer Ray Benson and Jason Roberts of Asleep at the Wheel, and Texas Western Swing Hall of Fame fiddler Bobby Flores.

2022 - A hugely prolific recording artist, Al Terry is chiefly remembered for his signature hit GOOD DEAL, LUCILLE, and the handful of Hillbilly and neo-Rockabilly sides he cut for Hickory Records in the mid-50s. However, during the 1950s he also cut Honky-Tonk, mainstream Country and Nashville Countrypolitan sides, occasionally duetting with Wilma Lee, and Rusty & Doug Kershaw. This compilation presents a Very Best Of Al's output between 1952-1962, across four different record labels, and includes his celebrated R&R-styled 1958 re-cut of GOOD DEAL, LUCILLE and the rockin' WATCH DOG.
