This is an interesting (and award-winning) project that features a power-packed lineup of ladies (16 of them) who all have significant experience in the field of Bluegrass. There are some very nice lead vocals by Gena Britt, Valerie Smith, Dale Ann Bradley, Jeanette Williams and others, with harmony parts sung by Becky Buller, Michelle Nixon, Lorraine Jordan and others. The gals supply all the instrumental work too, with Gena Britt, Donica Christensen & Julie Elkins on banjo, Jordan on mandolin, Buller on fiddle, Beth Lawrence on bass, etc. Three of the 13 songs were penned by Dixie & Tom T. Hall. A solid and impressive project (on the Halls’ Blue Circle Records label)
