2018 - This is music that will always be difficult to define. Bluegrass may be the most appropriate term, but from purists to even the newgrass jammers, they would say that’s not exactly right when it comes to Trampled by Turtles. Simonett’s songs often slot them in the singer/songwriter or “Americana” territory, but that doesn’t account for when they go on a blazing tear at a tempo usually reserved for punk. Beyond calling them an acoustic string band, you just have to listen to understand.

2012 - Stars and Satellites is an album by Minnesota-based bluegrass group Trampled by Turtles, released April 10, 2012, on their label BanjoDad Records. According to Dave Simonett, the creation of their sixth studio album started in the fall of 2011. Their studio was a log home outside Duluth, where they moved furniture aside, set up microphones and started to develop the album.

2018 - This band for has been around for a long time, backing bluegrass legend Del McCoury since the ’80s. Made up of Del’s sons Ronnie (lead and harmony vocals/mandolin) and Rob (banjo), Jason Carter (fiddle/lead harmony vocals), Alan Bartram (upright bass/lead harmony vocals), and Cody Kilby (guitar), the Travelin’ McCourys are a tight, experienced quintet with smooth harmonies and flawless musicianship.

2021 - Turning Ground is based in Salyersville, Kentucky, rooted deep in the Appalachian Mountains of Eastern Kentucky. Their style of bluegrass and bluegrass gospel is original and built around five people that simply love the music! The core band, consisting of Arnett (lead vocals and guitar), Hale (bass, guitar, and harmony vocals), Hensley (banjo), Ralph Adams (guitar and harmony vocals), and Kyle Kleinman (mandolin), are joined by several guest musicians, including Jason Barie on fiddle and Randy Kohrs on resophonic guitar. 11 new recordings, each spotlighting the band’s unique and inspired sound that incorporates a combination of bluegrass and Kentucky roots with a hint of outlaw country.

2023 - Das Album wurde von Tuttle und Jerry Douglas produziert und in den Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville aufgenommen und eingespielt mit Tuttles bewährter Spitzen-Bluegrass-Band Golden Highway: Bronwyn Keith-Hynes (Geige, Harmoniegesang), Dominick Leslie (Mandoline), Shelby Means (Bass, Harmoniegesang) und Kyle Tuttle (Banjo, Harmoniegesang), sowie eben Jerry Douglas (Dobro). Die Lieder reichen von Breakdowns bis hin zu Balladen, Märchen und Geigenmelodien, von Yosemite bis zum Gold Country und jenseits der Berge.

2022 - 'Crooked Tree' (co-produced by Molly Tuttle and Jerry Douglas) features collaborations with Sierra Hall, Old Crow Medicine Show, Margo Price, Billy Strings, Dan Tyminski, and Gillian Welch, and it explores Tuttle’s lifelong love of bluegrass. Across these 13 original tracks, all written or co-written by Tuttle, she simultaneously honours the bluegrass tradition while also pushing the genre in new directions.

2020 - Es ist ein Cover-Album, das während der Quarantäne zwischen Nashville und LA aufgenommen wurde, als alle im Frühjahr 2020 Schutz suchten. Produziert von dem großartigen Tony Berg (Phoebe Bridgers, Andrew Bird) und einer großartigen Besetzung von Musikern, arbeiteten Molly und das Team alle von zu Hause aus, um ihre Kompositionen aufzunehmen. Molly lernte Pro Tools, nahm alle ihre Teile auf und bearbeitete sie. Eine erstaunliche, und überraschende Auswahl an Songs wie SOMETHING IN YOUR MIND von Karen Dalton oder STANDING ON THE MOON von Grateful Dead...

2019 - The singer-songwriter, who won the 2018 Americana Music Award-winner for Instrumentalist of the Year, shared the LP’s lead single “Take The Journey.” The 11-track effort was produced by Ryan Hewitt (The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers) and features Jason Isbell on backing vocals and an appearance from mandolinist Sierra Hull.
