2019 - for more than 18 years, the members of Greensky Bluegrass - Anders Beck (dobro), Michael Arlen Bont (banjo), Dave Bruzza (guitar), Mike Devol (upright bass) and Paul Hoffman (mandolin) - have been creating their own version of bluegrass music, mixing the acoustic stomp of a stringband with the rule-breaking spirit of rock & roll. As they continue to evolve and further define that sound they are breaking barriers with their seventh studio album, All For Money. 

2016 - Greensky Bluegrass are nothing if not diverse. 2022 - die Entstehung von "Stress Dreams“ geht auf den Beginn der Pandemie zurück, als die Mitglieder von Greensky Bluegrass die Zeit außerhalb der Tournee nutzten, um Demos vorzubereiten, bevor sie E-Mails und Sprachnotizen austauschten. Im Juli 2020 kamen GSBG schließlich zum ersten Mal seit vier Monaten wieder zusammen und widmeten sich bei den Proben der Arbeit an neuem Material. Das Album wurde im Laufe einer Session in Guilford, Vermont, und zwei weiterer in Asheville aufgenommen.

1994 - incl. 40-page full-color booklet - While mandolin master David Grisman and the equally talented guitarist Tony Rice may be better known in the world of bluegrass, jazz fans need to check out Tone Poems, an excellent collection of mandolin/guitar duets, performed with different vintage instruments on each track. The improvising by both men is never less than brilliant, transforming traditional folk tunes like "Grandfather's Clock" and "I Am a Pilgrim," plus the unlikely "O Solo Mio," into masterpieces.

2023 - Der amerikanische Mandolinist David Grisman verbindet Bluegrass, Folk und Jazz in einem Genre, das er Dawg Music nennt, hier mit seinem Original Album von 1983. Auf diesem einzigartigen Projekt sind auch zwei ganz besondere Gäste zu hören: der Meister des Bluegrass-Banjos, Earl Scruggs, bei "Dawggy Mountain Breakdown" (The Car Talk Theme) und der Jazz-Violin-Titan Stephane Grappelli, der Davids Tribut an ihn, "Steppin' With Stephane", spielt. Der Titeltrack "Dawg Jazz" mit der Tonight Show Big Band setzt dem Ganzen die Krone auf !!!

2021 - Emmylou Harris and the Nash Ramblers' Ramble in Music City: The Lost Concert, zeigt das Nashville-Debüt der akustischen All-Star-Gruppe - Sam Bush, Roy Huskey Jr., Larry Atamanuik, Al Perkins, Jon Randall Stewart - im Tennessee Performing Arts Center von 1990. Das Konzert wurde aufgezeichnet und verschwand in der Schublade, bis es jetzt, mehr als 30 Jahre später, wieder aufgefunden wurde, um zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht zu werden. Das Set enthält ganz andere Songs als das gefeierte Live-Album At the Ryman der Band, mit Musik von A.P. Carter, Rodney Crowell, Ruth Franks, den Louvin Brothers, Doc Pomus, Paul Simon, Townes Van Zandt und Harris selbst.

2016 -incl. booklet - Jerry Garcia (banjo, guitar & lead vocals), Ken Frankel (banjo, fiddle & guitar), Robert Hunter (bass & backing vocals), Norm Van Maastricht (dobro) & David Nelson (guitar & backing vocals) - Folk Time was recorded in 1962 by a bunch of Bay Area 20-somethings who were on an earnest quest for real American folk music. They wanted to hear it and learn to play it. So to the untrained ear, these songs will sound like what we expect that music to sound like. But aficionados will undoubtedly hear good intentions, but a serious lack of authenticity. The Hart Valley Drifters mostly focused on spirited renditions of traditional songs such as, “Roving Gambler,” “Standing In The Need of Prayer,” “Cripple Creek” as well as the Ralph Stanley composition “Clinch Mountain Backstep” and Earl Scruggs’ “Ground Speed” and “Flint Hill Special.” The session ends with a take on the Walter Jacobs Vinson/Lonnie Carter classic “Sitting On Top Of The World,”, which Garcia brought to the Grateful Dead in time for inclusion on the band’s first studio album.

2019 – the Hartford Estate-approved collection brings together a whopping 27 recordings, 19 of which have never been released before, and the other 8 comprised of his rare sides recorded with The Ozark Mountain Trio.  Also appearing are three live radio tracks from 1964, and 16 songwriter demos from 1965-1969. Among these demos are five newly unearthed songs that have never been heard before.

2021 - Die elf Songs wurden von Jerry Douglas produziert und im historischen RCA Studio B in Nashville aufgenommen. “Leftover Feelings“ ist weder ein reines Bluegrass-Album noch eine Rückkehr zu Hiatts 1980er-Jahre-Tagen mit den Slide-Gitarren-Größen Ry Cooder und Sonny Landreth, sondern ein Treffen zweier amerikanischer Musikgiganten in einer legendären Umgebung. 2018 - High Fidelity is an exciting young band waving the banner high for traditional bluegrass music! Their Rebel debut Hills and Home revisits 14 rare lesser-known songs from the repertoire of groundbreaking musicians from two generations ago including Reno & Smiley, Jim & Jesse, The Louvin Brothers and Charlie Monroe to name a few. The band is the brainchild of husband-and-wife team Jeremy Stephens and Corrina Rose Logston, who play guitar and fiddle respectively, ably assisted by Vickie Vaughan on bass, Kurt Stephenson on banjo, and Daniel Amick on mandolin. Together they recreate the excitement of the time when this music was new, a period long before any of them had been born.

2018 -  A new group made up of familiar names, the Highland Travelers offer the variety of two generations melded with the unity of being from northeast Tennessee. With Adam Steffey (mandolin), Keith Garrett (guitar), Jason Davis (banjo), Kameron Keller (bass), and Gary Hultman (dobro), the Highland Travelers, who state they like to “stay true to our traditional grass roots while creating new, original songs, as well as putting our stamp on our classic favorites,” will no doubt set their chosen genre on its proverbial ear with this debut self-titled effort. Highland Travelers is available to fans of great music through the most popular music outlets.

2018 - The HillBenders were able to recruit Eric Uglum (Ralph Stanley, Alison Krauss, Sara Watkins, Rob Ickes) to produce THE HILLBENDERS and all 11 tracks were cut live with the entire band, with the only overdubs being additional harmony vocals. As usual with this band, they all write and sing.
