Inspired by Bob Dylan, a host of Singer Songwriters came to the fore and one of the most significant was Jerry Jeff Walker. He merged Folk, Country and Rock and as well as writing his own classic compositions and being a natural storyteller, he encouraged young songwriters and gave many of them their own start. 1990 - ¡Viva Terlingua! ist ein progressives Live-Country-Album von Jerry Jeff Walker und The Lost Gonzo Band, das am 18. August 1973 in der Luckenbach Dancehall in Luckenbach, Texas, aufgenommen wurde… u.a. mit Mickey Raphael (blues harp), Herb Steiner (pedal steel guitar) + Gary P. Nunn (lead vocals bei LONDON HOMESICK BLUES) … It doesn't sound anything like it was recorded in front of an audience, but it does sound live as hell. These folks were partyin' it up and layin' down the tracks at white heat. This record was made in a night and it feels like it was made in your living room.

2021 - Die früher als “Mandolin Orange“ bekannte Formation hat nun ihr erstes Album unter dem neuen Band-Namen “Watchhouse“ veröffentlicht. Zusammen mit der Namensänderung markiert dieses Album eine stilistische Veränderung für das Duo Andrew Marlin und Emily Frantz, die nach über einem Jahrzehnt eine musikalische Wiedergeburt anstreben. Obwohl die beiden Künstler immer noch ihren Wurzeln in den Appalachen treu bleiben, werden Watchhouse durch die veränderte Dynamik neue Klangwelten erkunden, die man in der strengeren Folkmusik nicht so oft hört. Für die Aufnahmen des Albums zog sich die Band an den Smith Mountain Lake in Virginia zurück, um die Wurzeln der Appalachen anzuzapfen, die sich tief durch den bestehenden Katalog von Watchhouse ziehen und gleichzeitig neue Wege im etablierten kreativen Prozess der Band zu beschreiten.
