2016 - "The Country #1's 1958-1962" - The five years from the beginning of 1958 to the end of 1962 were crucial to the genesis of country music as it moved away from a traditional hillbilly and western sound to something altogether more cosmopolitan in construction. The arrival of 'The Nashville Sound' - with vocal groups and strings replacing steel guitars and fiddles - brought country music into the mainstream and resulted in an enormous amount of crossover action between the country chart and the Hot 100. 2CDs filled with some of the biggest names in Country music - including Jim Reeves, Marty Robbins, Faron Young, Don Gibson and many more - singing some of their most beloved classic hits, and all resented in the best possible sound, from the best possible sources.

2023 - Deluxe Edition - mit 36-seitigem Booklet, 26 Titel - Erstmals erscheint hiermit eine angemessene Würdigung der Lebensleistung von Augie Meyers und den Bands und Musikern auf seinem TRC Label. Augie Meyers aus der Nähe von San Antonio, Texas - Musiker, Kultfigur und Labelbetreiber, der die Veröffentlichungen seiner Texas Re-Cord Company (1975-80) zusätzlich mit Tex-Mex Dance Hall Music und Western-Swing-Polka würzte. Von den 26 Stücken auf dieser CD stammen 17 von seltenen 45er Singles und neun von Langspielplatten. Sorgfältig von den bestmöglichen Quellen überspielte und neu gemasterte Aufnahmen, dazu ein umfangreiches Booklet mit ausführlichen Linernotes, vielen Abbildungen und Fotos: ein Stück texanische Musikgeschichte!!!

2015 - This new issue reminds me of that set, which really was a labor of love, except that the new “package” includes snippets of the original musicians who trekked to Bristol to make some of the earliest rural music to come out on commercial records, including the first ever recordings of Jimmie Rodgers and The Carter Family. In the hands of a lesser producer, this project could easily have turned sour, but Carl Jackson, though based in Nashville, is a man of skill, integrity and good taste, and we thank him for this fascinating CD. Accompanied by a 24-page booklet of notes, the 2-disc set features 18 songs and tunes by such artists as Vince Gill, Doyle Lawson, Dolly Parton, Sheryl Crow, Jesse McReynolds and the Chuck Wagon Gang among others.

2017 - 10 CD Box Set (12” x 12”) - 312 tracks  780:45min., 116-page full-colour hardcover book with track-by-track information - Rockabilly, Country, Hillbilly and Gospel 1953 - 1957!  Although the Starday record company was not by any means the first label to dabble with customs presses, they are probably one of the most famous and sought after.....This, the first box in a new series, starts on #500 and ends on 675. there are a few records listed in the book that are not on the CDs – sadly, after 30 years of collecting (and in some cases for other collectors, 40+ years) these records simply haven’t turned up yet. All in all, this set includes 312 tracks on 10 CDs, and comes with a 116-page hardcover book with label pictures and liner notes about each of those Starday Custom singles....
